Our Tuesday Lunch Club (a reboot of Cook and Eat) is really popular and we’ve been enjoying some delicious seasonal food – this has recently included wild garlic (which is in season now), fresh herbs, radish and spring onions.
Recent meals have encompassed:
home made tomato soup with wild garlic and cheese scones
a veggie gluten free lasagne made with lentils, fresh herbs, some of our own-grown tomatoes from the freezer and a delicious salad of mixed leaves, radish and spring onions all picked fresh from the garden just before we served up.
a Caribbean inspired veggie stew with rice n peas
And a special mention to the lovely new napkins made by the wonderful Piecing Together sewing group at Meadows Library! No more disposable serviettes for us!
